New operator for Warwickshire golf course
Mack Golf has been selected by Warwick District Council (WDC) to manage and develop Newbold Comyn Golf Course in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
The local authority has been seeking an operator for the venue for the last 12 months, and has now completed the selection process, with Mack Golf taking over control on 1 April. Newbold Comyn Golf Course will retain its pay-and-play provision as part of the new agreement, while facilities at the venue are in line to benefit from "significant" investment.
Among the proposed improvements is an upgraded practice area and a new junior golf academy, while work is also set to be carried out on the course's pathways and tracks.
