New outdoor gym planned for Tonbridge
A new outdoor gym is to be installed at Tonbridge Sportsground after more than £12,000 of funding was contributed by the Local Strategic Partnership.
Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council (TMBC) is to create the new facility as part of a wider bid to improve local recreation and youth provision at the venue. TMBC cabinet member for leisure, youth and the arts Martin Coffin said: "People of all ages can just stop as they walk past and give the gym a go."
Particularly aimed at people aged at least 60 years old, the new outdoor gym is expected to be ready to open by spring 2011.
