New owner for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
Spirit of 1873 has announced that it has reached agreement to buy Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Football Club from its administrators, O'Hara's.
The deal will be completed once the Rugby Football League confirms in writing that Spirit of 1873 owner, local businessman Andrew Glover, passes the national governing body's fit and proper person test. It is hoped the acquisition will help secure the long term future of the Super League club and will see the Wildcats play at its Belle Vue home in 2011.
