New play area for Hammersmith park
Hammersmith and Fulham Council (HFC) has announced that work is due to commence on South Park's new play area next month.
The local authority has worked with local residents and the Friends of South Park to design the new facility, which will include a timber climbing nest; a shipwreck; and a zip wire. HLF cabinet member for residents' services Greg Smith said: "Maintaining and improving those parks is one of the council's key commitments."
Work is expected to take 12 weeks to complete.
