New £14.5m civic hub planned for Renfrewshire
Renfrewshire Council has unveiled its plans for the development of a new £14.5m civic hub in the centre of Johnstone, which is to include theatre space among its facilities.
The scheme will create a new town hall to replace the existing building and is due to open in spring 2015, with demolition work to commence in early 2013 if approved by councillors.
Renfrewshire Council's Allan Noon said: "The civic hub will co-locate a range of existing and new public services making it a local point for the community."
