New restaurant opens at Edinburgh Zoo
Grasslands, the newly rebranded and refurbished eatery at Edinburgh Zoo, has opened its doors to the public.
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland recently awarded caterer Compass Group a 10-year contract to manage the food and beverage offer at Edinburgh Zoo.
As part of the deal, Compass has invested in rejuvenating and enhancing the current offer in partnership with creative agency 442 Design.
The restaurant’s design takes inspiration from the main animal habitats represented at the Zoo: rainforest, grassland, woodland, oceans and wetland. Work has now commenced to transform the zoo’s other eatery – Jungle Café.
