New skate park opens in Peterborough
Peterborough City Council (PCC) has opened a new-look skatepark at Stanground Community Centre to replace an existing facility at the site.
Young people from two local groups received £50,000 for the project from the Peterborough Youth Bank, which saw old equipment removed and new concrete ramps installed. PCC cabinet member for children's services Sheila Scott said: "These two rival groups of young people got together and decided they wanted to make more use of their local park and we can now see the fruits of their labour."
