New spa increases hotel visits by 20 per cent
The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh has announced that since the opening of One Spa in September 2001 the hotel has increased weekend leisure business by 20 per cent.
General manager of the Sheraton Grand, Peter Murphy, said: 'Market research indicated that people are becoming more and more discerning when choosing their hotel in terms of what it offers, so we're thrilled that our investment paid off so significantly in our first year.'
One Spa, a six storey building with three split levels of spa, has now been expanded to cope with growing demand and has appointed five more therapists and a fitness and lifestyle consultant, Iain Bell. In September, One Spa was awarded a highly commended Day Spa of the Year award at the 2002 British Beauty Awards. Details: www.one-spa.com
