New spa to open at Massachusetts hotel
A new spa - the name of which will pay homage to iconic Swiss-born architect and designer Le Corbusier - is to open at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts, US.
Due to open next month, the 4,000sq ft (372sq m) Corbu Spa and Salon will boast a total of seven treatment rooms - one of which will be a 'Room for Two' with Swiss shower. Bill Rooney Studio and architects Cambridge 7 and Associates have worked on the creation of the new spa, with the design influenced by Le Corbusier.
French-inspired organic treatment menus will be provided, with some of the products having been created by spa director Pamela Baldwin Adami in her own home. The spa menu will also feature products created with in season and fresh ingredients from a local farmers market, while some will be picked from The Charles Hotel's garden.
General manager Alex Attia said: "Both of our restaurants have always been dedicated to local and sustainable products, and Pamela will bring that same dedication to Corbu."
