New sports council for Philippine province
The provincial government of Camarines Norte, Philippines, has announced the creation of the Provincial Physical Fitness and Sports Development Council (PPFSDC).
Governor Edgardo Tallado issued Executive Order No. 2011-07 to bring about the agency, which will be responsible for all sports programmes within the province. PPFSDC will work to achieve the aims of Articles XIV, Section 19 (1) of the constitution, which says "the state shall promote physical education and encourage sports programmes, league competitions and amateur sports.
