New studio for Oxford leisure centre
Oxford City Council (OCC) has announced that work is now underway on the creation of a new indoor cycling studio at Barton Leisure Centre, which is operated by Fusion Lifestyle.
An existing group exercise studio at the venue is being adapted in order to provide space for the new Keiser equipment, with the alterations due to take two weeks to complete.
It is the latest indoor cycling studio to be installed at an Oxford leisure centre, following the success of a similar facility opened in November 2010 at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre.
OCC board member for leisure services Van Coulter said: "Barton is a well used leisure facility and we have seen the number of users increase since we expanded it in November 2010.
"It makes sense to provide an indoor cycling studio at the facility as the classes have proved very popular elsewhere."
