New ways to learn about the New Forest
An initiative by the National Park Authority will see five new local information points opening in the New Forest, Hampshire.
The points are designed to provide a one-stop shop for residents and visitors who want to learn more about the National Park and what is best to see and do in the local area. Based in The Happy Cheese, Ashurst; Herald Publishing, Hythe; Landford Village Stores; Minstead Village Shop; and The Nurse's Cottage restaurant, Sway, they will offer information and a range of maps, leaflets and publications. Jim Mitchell, interpretation officer, said: 'Our pilot scheme last year in Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and Burley proved a huge success. We hope these additional five points will be as equally successful."
