New £1m gymnastics facility opens its doors in North Devon
A new £1m gymnastics facility - the Falcons Community Sports Centre - has opened to the public next to the Tarka Tennis Centre in Seven Brethren, Devon.
North Devon Council helped to fund the scheme, along with Devon County Council, British Gymnastics and the Fullabrook Wind Farm Community Interest Company.
The local authority has also leased the land on which the building is located, with equipment used during the London 2012 Olympic Games having been installed.
British Gymnastics' Dave Marshall said: "The new centre will provide a fantastic facility that will benefit thousands of local people, with the potential of creating future Olympians."
Falcons head coach Mike Beagley added: "This new site means we can support even more young people to reach their full potential, providing them with the facilities they deserve."
