Newark development proposals submitted
Plans for a major development - including a sports pavilion and a wetland park - on land to the south of Newark-on-Trent have been submitted to the local authority.
Catesby Estates has lodged plans with Newark and Sherwood District Council (NSDC) for the scheme, which also incorporates a network of green space and a community building. No date has been set for the outline plans to go before the council's planning committee, although NSDC is inviting feedback from residents until 1 February.
A NSDC spokesperson said: "If approved, the outline application will set the framework for more detailed applications on the different parts of the site." Meanwhile, Catesby Estates will hold a public exhibition at Newark Town Hall on 11 December to show how the scheme has changed since a consultation in 2007.
