No financial support for Lockerbie pool plans
Dumfries and Galloway Council has ruled out financial support for Lockerbie Swimming Pool and Leisure Complex Trust's bid to develop a new facility in the town.
The trust has already raised more than £500,000 towards the capital construction costs of the complex, which will also include a gym and will be sited near Lockerbie Ice Rink. However, the local authority has decided that it will not contribute towards the estimated £3m project cost and outlined a number of other potential funding sources.
