Nor-Ray-Vac solution at Stoke Mandeville
The newly-renovated Stoke Mandeville stadium has been equipped with a new Nor-Ray-Vac heating system from Ambi-Rad.
The facility, which is the national centre for wheelchair sports, recently underwent a major programme of renovation.
The main sports hall was upgraded and extended. As part of the project, three 12-burner, continuous radiant tube Nor-Ray-Vac systems were installed to keep a constant comfortable temperature.
Radiant tube heating is effective and economical for installations such as sports halls, as infra-red radiant heating cuts down on the volume of ambient air being heated, warming only people and objects directly in its path.
