North Wales countryside tours scheme to launch
Wheelchair users are set to be handed the chance to visit some of North Wales' most iconic countryside locations as part of a project backed by Gwynedd Council.
The council will lead two guided countryside tours - to Ynys Enlli (Bardsley Island) on 14 May and Lôn Goed, near Chwilog, on 18 June - as part of an annual programme of walks. Rural habitats and nature reserves are among the locations that will be made accessible as part of the scheme, which will launch on 10 April to the Dingle Nature Reserve, Anglesey.
Haydn Hughes, the council's senior countryside warden, said: "These walks are great opportunities for people to get put and enjoy the great outdoors and the wonderful locations we have on offer locally."
