North Wales hotel group enters administration
Llangollen Hotels Limited - operator of seven properties across North Wales and Cheshire - has gone into administration, along with parent company Global Investments Group.
David Costley-Wood and Brian Green of KPMG were appointed joint administrators of the groups on 8 July and have seen an "encouraging" level of interest from potential buyers. Four of the properties are freehold sites, with the remaining three run on a leasehold basis. Global Investments Group also runs three soft play centres and McLarens wine bar.
Administrators are now looking to secure the future of the four freehold sites: "We have had an encouraging number of enquiries from potential buyers for the hotels," said Costley-Wood.
