North Wales shopping park submits £13m leisure extension plans

The owner of Broughton Shopping Park in Flintshire, North Wales, has submitted plans for a £13m leisure extension, which is to include an 11-screen multiplex cinema.
Flintshire County Council will be responsible for determining the fate of the proposals, with the 1,731-seat cinema to be complemented by five new restaurants as part of the project.
It is thought the cinema will be the first multiplex facility in the county, with the extension to be located on an under-used area of car park at Broughton Shopping Park.
Centre manager Colin Gilligan said: "These plans demonstrate our commitment to continued investment in Broughton which will release its full potential.
"We want to preserve the park's overall role and increase the park's attraction so that spending time here is an even better experience for our customers."
