Northampton play area plans unveiled
Northampton Borough Council (NBC) has unveiled plans for the development of a new adventure play area at the Kingsthorpe Recreation Ground after receiving government funding for the scheme.
Earlier this year, local children told the council what equipment should be installed at the new site, which include rope bridges, climbing nets and a tunnel slide, after NBC received £49,000 through the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Playbuilder initiative. The final design for the Kingsthorpe facility will be selected in early November and it is hoped the play area will be completed in spring 2010.
