Northumberland coastal walks launched
The Northumberland Coast Path Project – a collaboration between Northumberland County Council and the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership – has published four new circular trails on the Northumberland coast.
The trails – near Druridge Bay, Howick, Craster and Belford – range from a two-mile stroll to a 10-mile hike with sea views.
The guides are available from Tourist Information Centres, libraries and the AONB team at County Hall in Morpeth for 50p each.
Cllr Pat Scott, AONB chair, said: “These walks are another way for people to explore our fantastic coastline and take in some great views.”
The leaflets are part of the collaboration’s existing four-year North Sea Trail project and were part-funded by the European Union IIIB programme. Details: www.northseatrail.org
