Aman has launched its first wellness programme curated in collaboration with global wellness advisor, tennis star Novak Djokovic.

Last year Djokovic entered into a multi-year partnership with the luxury hospitality brand to curate Longevity Pathways – a range of holistic retreats designed to enhance the wellness experience across Aman properties.

The first of these is a detoxification programme, available year-round at seven Aman destinations worldwide and is based on Djokovic’s tried and tested approach to fitness and wellbeing.

With 24 Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal to his name, he’s well placed to share expertise.

Offering a guided reset for body, mind and spirit, the three-day retreat draws inspiration from each of the properties’ settings.

Day one begins with a signature treatment lasting between 90 and 150 minutes.

On day two, the rituals are location-led. Two examples include:

• At Amangiri, US: Guests will experience cryo and thermal therapy at the spa’s water pavilion, myofascial release, a guided audio experience to provide ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian responses) and sunrise yoga on the rocks overlooking the mesas of the Utah desert.

• Amanbagh, India: The traditional Ayurvedic treatment called Pina Sweda is on offer, using herbal boluses dipped in oil and used for massage, followed by shirodhara – where warm medicated oil flows onto the forehead and scalp before a head massage. A meditation combining fire and mantra chanting is also on offer.

On day three, guests experience an activity designed to balance the body, mind and spirit for an hour, to provide tools to sustain the detox journey after the retreat. This can include a sound bath or learning the ancient yogic breath control technique, pranayama.

The seven properties offering the detoxification programme are: • Amanpuri, Thailand

• Amanbagh, India• Aman Tokyo, Japan

• Aman New York, US• Amangiri, US

• Amanyara, Turks and Caicos• Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, Thailand

Aman’s holistic wellness philosophy is built around three pillars: spiritual illumination, mental equilibrium and physical optimisation. The brand is combining these core values with Djokovic’s commitment to performance-driven results.

Speaking about the collaboration, Djokovic said: “I’m very proud to be a global wellness advisor for Aman. The vision and mission that the brand has – and I that have – are very much aligned.”

Djokovic is also slated to host an intimate in-person retreat later this year at one of Aman’s flagship destinations, which has yet to be revealed. His role is expected to go beyond designing exclusive programming to advising on product development and brand extension in the wellness space.

Another Olympic medallist, Maria Sharapova, is also in partnership with Aman. She was made a global wellness ambassador for the brand in 2023. Most recently, she hosted a ‘Building resilience, a Maria Sharapova retreat’ in Greece last year, while her half-day strength and recovery programme is currently available as part of Aman New York's daily spa programming.

Aman, founded in 1988, has 36 hotels resorts and branded residences in 20 destinations around the world, as well as a pipeline of future projects under construction.
