OPLC confirms Chobham Manor shortlist
Six developers are in the running to create London's new Chobham Manor neighbourhood after being shortlisted for the project by the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC).
It will be the first residential-led development at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park after the 2012 Games and will be located between the Athletes' Village and the VeloPark.
East Thames and Countryside Properties; Barratt Homes and Le Frak Organisation; Taylor Wimpey and London and Quadrant; and St James Group Limited have been shortlisted.
A decision is set to be made next summer, with Swan Housing Association, Urban Splash, Yoo and Mace; and Notting Hill Housing, United Housing and HTA, also in the running.
OPLC chief executive Andrew Altman said: "We have received an extremely strong response from developers interested in building Chobham Manor.
"This reflects the strong market appetite to develop family housing in the first neighbourhood to be created in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park."
