October launch for Fishing Lodge Cap Cana
Fishing Lodge Cap Cana, a resort development being developed in the Dominican Republic, is to open its doors to guests on 1 October as a Salamander Marina and Beach Resort.
Located on the eastern tip of the country, the resort will boast 302 Mediterranean-style villas - 220 of which will be available to resort guests and featuring private infinity pools. Guests and villa owners will also be able to benefit from a secluded beach, while its facilities will also include four swimming pools; a fitness centre; two restaurants and two bars.
Fishing Lodge will be the first property to open under Salamander's Grand Resorts at Cap Cana collection, with a second - Ocean Club Cap Cana - to open next year. Salamander Hotels and Resorts founder and CEO Sheila C Johnson said: "This is a different type of Dominican resort destination, one that offers numerous experiences within a Mediterranean seaside setting, an energetic centralized location and freedom from traditional boundaries."
