Official launch for Dunfermline facility
A leisure centre in Dunfermline, Scotland, has officially reopened following the completion of a £17m overhaul, which is part of Fife Council's investment in local leisure facilities.
Barr Construction delivered the renovation on behalf of the local authority, with minister for Commonwealth Games and sport Shona Robison helping to mark the venue's relaunch.
Fife Council's Future of Leisure programme has been awarded £3.6m by sportscotland, with funding agency chair Louise Martin also in attendance at the opening ceremony.
Facilities at the new-look complex - available to the public since late 2011 - include a 25m, six-lane swimming pool, a health suite with steamroom, sauna and spa bath; and a gym.
