Olympian coaches Lincolnshire kids
Yarborough Leisure Centre hosted a unique street athletics event for children over the school holidays, with some activities coached by Olympian Katherine Merry.
The Community Coaching event was organised by the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership to promote athletics across the region, linking into a national scheme to encourage more children into athletics and promote activity in young people.
The day saw more than 80 children receiving coaching in a number of events such as hurdles, 100m, 200m and 400m sprint, hammer, shot put and long jump.
Yarborough Leisure Centre is managed by Community Leisure Services in a partnership agreement with City of Lincoln Council.
