Tourism and hospitality businesses from the south west are being invited to take part in the second series of the popular and successful Tourism and Hospitality Executive Programme.

Dr Frank Dick OBE, a former Director of Coaching for the British Athletics Federation, will open the year-long programme with a seminar giving business leaders insights into effective management methods to achieve high levels of organisational performance.

Dr Frank Dick coached athletes to Olympic, European and World honours, inspiring world class performances from some of the top names in sport including Daley Thompson, Boris Becker and Katrina Witt.

The three-year Tourism and Hospitality Executive Programme of master class events is tailored to the needs of leaders and managers in the tourism, leisure and hospitality industries.

Other scheduled events include:

• 3 October 2007: Sir Gerry Robinson - Running a Successful Tourism & Hospitality Business • 22 November 2007: Professor Merlin Stone - Marketing your Business

• 5 February 2008: Tozers Solicitors - Employment Law • 19 March 2008: Larry Hochman - Embracing and Managing Change

Funded by the South West Regional Development Agency and run by the Tourism Skills Network South West, inspirational business leaders provide insights into approaches used outside of the tourism field. This is combined with best practice from within the industry to create a melting pot of ideas.

Subjects will range from running a successful tourism and hospitality business through to employment law, managing change and marketing.

Individual events cost £150 per person with flexible pricing packages available to make this an affordable option for your businesses. All events will take place at Sandy Park conference centre in Exeter.

For further information about the Tourism and Hospitality Executive Programme, please visit www.tsnsw.org.uk, or call +44 (0)1275 370 913 to book a space.
