Organic Monitor summits to focus on sustainability
Organic Monitor (OM) is planning a series of international summits focusing on sustainability in the beauty and spa industries.
The primary aim of each Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will be to cover the major issues faced by these industries in terms of sustainability, natural, organic, fair trade and ecological products.
The first summit will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, on 16-17 November 2009. The founder and CEO of Korres Natural Products, George Korres, will begin the summit with an opening address entitled 'Building a sustainable future through natural cosmetics'. Other speakers will include representatives from Weleda and Laverana.
In the remainder of 2009 and during 2010, Organic Monitor intend to expand the summit concept to other areas such as North America and the Asia-Pacific region by 2011. Details: sustainablecosmeticssummit.com
