PAFC administrator issues funding plea
Plymouth Argyle Football Club (PAFC) is facing the prospect of going out of existence if it cannot secure "sufficient funding" by 17 March, according its administrator.
Brendan Guilfoyle of the P & A Partnership has called on potential buyers to come forward, while emergency funding is being sought from supporters' group. Guilfoyle said: "Without external funding, the club simply cannot carry on."
Meanwhile, Southend United Football Club has announced that it has settled an unpaid tax bill with HM Revenue and Customs. A winding up petition brought against the club last month will now be withdrawn in the High Court on 16 March.
