Time Pursuit, the cloud based, booking, ticketing and visitor management system, has launched a new tool to help leisure and cultural attractions review their systems pain points.

The PAIN-ometer was devised after hundreds of consultations with attraction operators all of whom felt ‘pain points’ with their existing solutions were a greater motivator for change than any other possible benefits a new solution may seemingly offer.

To access the PAIN-ometer users simply go to the website www.timepursuit.com and follow the link to the tool. Here they are asked a series of pertinent questions under six category

headings. Each category and question have been carefully chosen to help attraction operators focus on the financial and operational impact of gaps within their current solution(s).

The real benefit for the attractions is the pain score report that follows. Not only does it detail their total level of 'pain' with their current solution but it hones down to the specific factors causing the most problems. Critically it also looks at the likely financial impact on the attraction from enduring such pain. The report can then form the basis of a system remedy, be that approaching their current provider for development work, or as a launch pad to reviewing new suppliers that better meet their needs.

Time Pursuit’s CEO, Oliver Wigdahl, says: "All attractions suffer varying degrees of pain with their existing systems. We find that a decision to explore, engage with, and ultimately invest in a new system(s) is more often driven by a desire to remedy these pain points than to capitalise on Wow new features. The intent of the PAIN-ometer is to hang a cost on existing system short-comings, so we can help attractions operators better understand where to prioritise and how to apply a remedy."

Oliver will be offering 'Pain Relief' surgeries on-site or at the forthcoming Leisure Industry Week (LIW) show for attractions which choose to participate.
