Paisley leisure revamp plans go on show
Local residents have been given the chance to have their say on plans for a £7.1m renovation of the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
Renfrewshire Council and Renfrewshire Leisure organised an 'information evening' for the public to examine the proposals - part of the council's wider £92m investment programme. Lagoon's swimming pool is to be upgraded with modern water facilities and a spa area with treatment rooms and other heat features are mooted as part of the plans.
The current arena space will accommodate an extended gym and a flexible space to host functions and events, as well as youth-orientated activities such as BMX biking. Work is due to be carried out in phases, commencing in spring 2011 and scheduled for completion in summer 2012.
