Palace goes pop for jubilee concert
Buckingham Palace will go pop next summer for an all-star concert as part of the Queen's golden jubilee celebrations.
Pop stars including Elton John, George Michael, Robbie Williams and Geri Halliwell will perform to 14,000 in the Queen's back garden, in a concert to be broadcast live around the world.
The concert will be the centrepiece of the special bank holiday weekend, with tickets to be distributed free of charge through a democratic ballot.
Meanwhile, nearly 7,000 people visited the garden on Saturday for its first public opening in 176 years.
