Paradise Pier likes to be beside the sea
Disney’s Paradise Pier hotel at Disneyland, Anaheim, has undergone a major refurbishment to create an interior that aims to offer its guests a “highly-themed seaside experience”.
The new décor at the 489-room hotel – which overlooks the theme park and has its own entrance into the park – includes Mickey Mouse lifeguard lamps, nautical lighting fixtures and palm-tree lined bedspreads.
Carpets in the rooms have been changed to include marine patterns, while the colour scheme – foam green, ocean blue and sand – aims to create a feeling of being on a paradise beach.
A sculpture of Goofy and his surfboard has also been added to the lobby, to greet new guests.
The Paradise Pier is one of three Disney-run hotels at the theme park – the others are the 745-room Disney’s Grand Californian hotel and the 990-room Disneyland Hotel. Details: www.disney.com
