Paralympic ceremony directors appointed
Jenny Sealey and Bradley Hemmings have been named as artistic directors of the Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Sealey is currently artistic director at Graeae, the UK's flagship disabled-led theatre group, and was awarded an MBE for services to disability arts in 2009. Meanwhile, Hemmings is the artistic director of Greenwich+Docklands Festivals, which is renowned for working with a wide range of artists on the creation of outdoor arts events.
The appointments were made by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and completes its search for individuals to direct the 2012 ceremonies. Danny Boyle has already been confirmed as the artistic director for the Olympics' Opening Ceremony, while Kim Gavin will lead the closing ceremonies for both Games.
