Paris's Prince de Galles to reopen in May
Paris's Art Deco Prince de Galles hotel will reopen in May following two years of renovations - the latest The Luxury Collection property to benefit from a US$200m (149.87m euro, £129.35m) investment by Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Acclaimed French designer Bruno Borrione has worked closely with executive chef Stephanie Le Quellec to redesign the hotel's signature restaurant, including white marble tables and Art-Deco mosaic.
Fellow French designer Pierre-Yves Rochon is leading the design of the lobby, and the hotel's 115 rooms and 44 suites, which have been reimagined as private apartments.
Other hotels to benefit from the Starwood investment include Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville and Hotel Maria Cristina in San Sebastian, which both reopened in 2012, and The Gritti Palace in Venice, which reopened 1 February.
