Park Hyatt Bermuda to open in November next year
Hotel operator Park Hyatt is to launch a new hotel on the island of Bermuda.
Originally signing on in 2008 in a management capacity, the group has since become a stakeholder following a cash investment, teaming up with Addax Holdings and the Bermuda Department of Tourism.
The hotel will offer 100 bedrooms, 111 Park Hyatt Residences, and approximately 30 branded Hyatt fractional ownership units.
The Park Hyatt resort will also include four food and beverage venues, including a Tea Room, a 14,000s ft Hyatt Pure spa and fitness centre, a private beach club, two swimming pools, tennis courts, and nearly 4,000sq ft of meeting and function space.
Adjacent to the hotel is the St. George's Golf Club, which will undergo a major redesign to become an 18-hole Nick Faldo designed resort golf course.
The hotel is part of a new US$300m (£190m) resort development and was originally slated to open in 2012, but now is expected to open in November 2011.
