Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) has agreed a deal with the Youth Hostels Association (YHA) to sell the Losehill Hall learning centre.

Located in Castleton, Derbyshire, the venue will be used as a youth hostel and an education and activity centre for a minimum of 20 years under a clause included in the agreement. The deal will see YHA invest £2m in refurbishing the property, while the number of young people using Losehill Hall is to increase ten-fold to 30,000 a year.

YHA's existing business at Castleton Youth Hostel will relocate to the venue once work is completed on its refurbishment.
