Peel moves closer to Pinewood purchase
Peel Group has moved closer to the purchase of Buckinghamshire's Pinewood Shepperton film studios after the terms of a recommended cash offer were announced.
Pinewood directors have backed an offer of 200p a share - plus a 2.5p dividend - from the Manchester-based group, which values the studios at more than £96m. Lord Grade of Yarmouth, chairman of Pinewood Shepperton, said: "The Pinewood Independent Directors believe that this stable time in a volatile industry offers shareholders an opportune moment to realise value."
