Petition issued against Dakota Nottingham
Ken McCulloch, founder of Malmaison, has insisted that a winding up petition filed against the Dakota Sherwood Park hotel in Nottingham will not have any effect on the hotel group’s operations.
McCulloch business partner in the Dakota hotel venture, F1 driver David Coulthard, issued the petition after reportedly lending the Nottingham site hundreds of thousands of pounds.
McCulloch told the Scotsman newspaper that the petition is a “shareholder issue” and that the matter will be resolved within days.
Dakota currently operates two other hotels in Scotland and plans to open a new site in the South of England next year.
