Philippines resort spa to boost training facilities
The Plantation Bay Resort and Spa on Mactan Island, Cebu, in the Philippines, is to invest in a number of additional training programmes to complement its new, expanded spa, which will open next month.
The 69,965sq ft (6,500sq m) Mogambo Springs Spa has been designed to resemble a traditional, Japanese-inspired village.
Therapists will receive additional training in the traditional Filipino ‘hilot’ massage as well as Thai techniques, massage for pregnant women and a new, signature sensual massage.
The spa will have 23 treatment rooms, an open pavilion for exercise classes, sauna, steamrooms, and four treatment pools, including hot, salt and cold water sections.
