We firmly believe that looking after your teams and communicating effectively has the power to raise your bottom line

Kate White, Danielle Alen and Katie Howell have joined forces to launch a spa and beauty consultancy focused on strengthening teamwork in spa businesses.

Called Phoenix Spa Solutions, the consultancy is offering a 6-week Team Wellness programme, designed to inspire, challenge and unite spa teams, as well as one-to-one personal coaching for spa managers and general managers to provide guidance on communication and leadership.

The group brings varied experience from different angles in the industry, ranging from planning and opening spas to managing day-to-day operations.

White’s career initially began in training and education but in 2019 she founded mystery shopping company, Spa Angels, that’s dedicated to growth in the industry. Howell helms KH Spa Consultancy focused on spa design while Alen has a 20-years’ experience operationally running spas and leading teams.

Overall the trio shares a combined 53 years’ industry experience, with each member bearing leadership experience in driving and motivating teams.

Speaking to Spa Business, Howell explained why the consultancy is so focused on effective teamwork.

“We firmly believe that looking after your teams and communicating effectively has the power to raise your bottom line.

“For too long the industry as a whole has suffered from poor staff retention and teams that lack motivation and drive – for us, now is the time to empower individuals within the team to take ownership of their individual role within the brand.”

The trio decided to launch the consultancy because they feel the pandemic has provided the ideal opportunity to reflect and create positive change within spa businesses, especially because strong cohesive teamwork will be the crux of success as spas and wellness businesses reopen across the globe.

In celebration of launching, the company is providing complimentary 20-minute consultations. To find out more click here.
