Multitrax Group has acquired the Pilates Institute to help expand and develop its education programming.

Spencer McGuiness, managing director of Multitrax, says: “The Pilates Institute has trained a large number of instructors in the UK and worldwide and it has been instrumental in the integration of pilates to the wider industry. We are looking forward to expanding the brand through our existing international network.”

Future developments include expanding the courses, developing international and UK licences and the consolidation of the Pilates Institute brand. An expansion into the US market is also planned.

Directors Michael King, Malcolm Muirhead and Nuala Coombs all remain as principles of the Pilates Institute.
