Planning granted for new Cardiff development
Cardiff County Council has approved a planning application for the St David’s 2 development in the city.
A joint venture between Land Securities and Capital Shopping Centres, the £315m project will include up to 69,700sq m of retail space, plus a 24,154sq m department store, residential accommodation, leisure and hospitality provision, office space and new public spaces.
The National Assembly for Wales will consider the application during the summer, with construction commencing in 2005 and completion and opening scheduled for 2008. Details: www.stdavids2.com
