Wycombe District Council (WDC) has submitted its outline plans for the multi-million pound redevelopment of the Wycombe Sports Centre site at Handy Cross, Buckinghamshire.
A replacement sports and leisure centre is included in the Richard Markland Architects-designed proposals, with facilities to include a 150-station fitness suite, dance studios, a health suite and two squash courts.
An eight-lane, 50m swimming pool and a 20m x 8m learner pool are also planned, as well as fun water for toddlers, a 12-court sports hall and a soft children's play area.
Meanwhile, the scheme will also include a foodstore and medicentre/day nursery and the reconfiguration of already approved office space and 150-bedroom hotel.
WDC executive deputy leader Arif Hussain said: "The revised outline masterplan application is the next step towards redeveloping this site and providing the district with a new sports and leisure centre.
"We thank the public and sports clubs who have attended our exhibitions and discussed their ideas with us, as their comments have helped to shape these plans."
