Polygon eyes up Newcastle shares

Newcastle United has confirmed that it has received expressions of interest from a party wishing to acquire the shares owned by the club’s former chair, Sir John Hall.
Hall’s Wynyard vehicle owns around 29 per cent of shares in the club.
It has been reported that American hedge fund Polygon has teamed up with investment bank UBS to buy the shares.
