From the company which produces the snooker cloth used at the Embassy world championships, has come Artscape.

Produced by Stroud, Gloucestershire-based Milliken - which also supplies the tennis ball cloth used by Dunlop Slazenger at Wimbledon - Artscape is designed for the pool market and features a digitally printed process that reproduces images in pin-sharp quality.

Of the two sectors it is aimed at, one is leisure outlets such as clubs and pubs and also purchasers of tables for home use. The company's Décor range has 40 designs to choose from, allowing a decorative scheme to be continued through to the table itself, or Milliken can work with one provided by a client on a CD.

One of the designs - Metal - can be seen on the pool table in the Students Union in the TV soap 'Hollyoaks'.

Artscape is also directed at the marketing/advertising sector, where brand logos can be reproduced in support of promotions, new product launches and so on.
