Pool opening date set for Paisley complex
The leisure pool at Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley, Renfrewshire, is due to reopen to the public this summer as part of a wider £8m refurbishment undertaken at the complex.
Renfrewshire Council is leading the project as part of its £103m investment in the Building Better Communities programme, with the pool to boast a new flume and water features.
A new fitness suite, dance studios and group cycling studio have already opened at Lagoon Leisure Centre, following the conversion of a former ice rink which closed in 2007.
The fitness suite contains 82 stations of equipment supplied by Anytime Leisure, Pulse and Matrix as part of a framework agreement. The group cycling studio houses 40 bikes.
In addition to the opening of the new-look pool, Lagoon Leisure Centre will also comprise a new spa with a Rasul mud treatment room; steam and aroma rooms; and an ice fountain.
Offering holistic health and wellbeing treatments, the spa will also contain heated foot spas and loungers. It is due to open at the complex in late autumn.
