Portaventura to open new resort hotel
Spanish theme park Portaventura will open a new four star hotel on the grounds of the park this summer.
To be called Gold River, the property will be the park's fourth hotel, following the openings of Hotel PortAventura, Hotel Caribe and Hotel El Paso.
Situated within the Far West themed area of the park, the hotel's design has been inspired by the American "wild west". Four different sections make up the hotel, each offering different levels of accommodation for guests, depending on their requirements.
The PortAventura resort comprises two theme parks – PortAventura2 and the Caribe Aquatic Park – a Beach Club and three first-class golf courses, two of which were designed by champion golfer Greg Norman.
