Portuguese fitness chain enters Cyprus
VivaFit, the largest fitness chain in Portugal, will expand its brand into Northern Cyprus after agreeing a master franchising deal with two local entrepreneurs.
Bulut Erkal and Gızem Mentes are due to open the first VivaFit club in the capital Nicosia by the end of October 2011.
According to VivaFit CEO, Pedro Ruiz, the franchising agreement foresees the opening of 10 VivaFit gyms in the next three years and the expansion to the Turkish market.
"Our presence in Cyprus represents not only the beginning of VivaFit's expansion in the Eastern Mediterranean, but it is also a reinforcement of the brand's potential to go worldwide."
