Powerleague to open Wembley facility
Powerleague has announced plans to unveil its 45th UK five-a-side football centre adjacent to London's Wembley Stadium in mid-April.
The 3-acre (1.2-hectare) venue is set to form part of the Quintain Estates and Development scheme at Wembley City and will incorporate six five-a-side pitches. A seven-a-side pitch is also proposed as part of Powerleague's new Wembley City facility, along with changing areas and a sports bar.
It will be the third Powerleague football centre to open during the past six months as part of the operator's bid to expand its UK, Ireland and Europe portfolio. Powerleague commercial director Nigel Hargreaves said: "We have invested heavily in this new site to ensure it is a state-of-the-art facility ideally suited to corporate hospitality events which can be heavily branded to suit our sponsorship partners."
